The Digital Divide
The Pew Research Center has shown that only 38% of seniors (65+) and just 63% of households earning under $35,000 per year have access to the Internet. They also report that only 10% of online adults aged 55 to 64 have a profile and this number drops to only 7% for online seniors 65 and older.
One of the easiest ways to help people get Internet access is to provide them with the necessary hardware. Empower Up has several programs that do just that.
